Footsteps, Death Valley, CA -- So I drive well past midnight the day before to be at the dunes to catch it at sunrise in pristine condition. Dodging jackrabbits (Explorer 2, Bunnies 18 -- though I tried my best to avoid them), getting directions from a guy on a bicycles wearing a miner's light on his head (Trust me, that is a definite "What in the hell is that" moment after 14 hours of driving) and sleeping in the car (Whoever said the desert is cold at night can kiss my butt -- it was brutally hot)! My alarm goes of an hour before sunrise and I see this ... WTF???
