ExhibitPlus 133 A Crashing Wave of Sand, White Sands, NM -- What drew me to this scene was the way the dunes looked like a rolling wave landing on a beach. Since I was chasing the sunset I was shooting quickly at things that caught my eye and completely missed noticing the two tiny beach shovels abandoned it the bottom of the image! Part of me hates that I was so rushed to miss noticing it -- I'd have shot more than this single frame with them -- but I also love it when something you shoot reveals a mini-treasure spot within its confines.
